Johnson Jewelers of Woodbury – 48th Anniversary

Forty-eight years ago this month, our founder Bob Johnson, a lifelong tinkerer, trained watchmaker, and self-taught goldsmith opened the doors of Johnson Jewelers.

A keen sense of discipline, honed during his time in the Navy, coupled with a strong work ethic became the backbone of the new business. The store’s proximity to 3M brought a steady flow of 3M employees through the doors at the St. Paul location and a recipe for success and legacy was built. Bob passed his skill and passion to his children and in January 2014, Karen Johnson followed in her father’s footsteps to become the owner of Johnson Jewelers.

Now, more than 40 years after the doors first opened in St. Paul, Johnson Jewelers continues to thrive. The store’s service list has expanded well-beyond watch repair to include custom jewelry design, jewelry appraisals, watch repair, sizing, shaping, and setting, jewelry remodeling, engagement rings, and an exceptional collection of vintage jewelry.

The original store later relocated to a larger space in Woodbury, MN at 783 Radio Dr. in Woodbury, MN where they still are today. Additionally, Johnson Jewelers has expanded to other cities. The newest addition to the family is Johnson Jewelers of Lake City, MN. Be sure to stop by the Lake City location soon and see the unique Lake Pepin Pearl jewelry!

Bob’s dedication and drive to deliver the best customer experience continues to be the backbone of the Johnson Jewelers locations.
