Peridot sits at a solid ~7 on the Mohs scale, so it’s tough enough for everyday wear. Just don’t subject it to sudden extreme heat, as thermal shock can cause fractures. Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush using gentle circles only. Stick with regular dish soap (the nice-smelling kind is a bonus) and finish with a clean, lint-free cloth. Skip the ultrasonic and steam cleaners, as they’re known to leave unwanted marks.
