Those brownish yellow tones don’t have to be a relic of the 70’s however, so let’s explore the spectrum of this unique gem that can still have you feeling truly radiant – not ready for the fondue parlor.
Citrine, which is French for “yellow,” gets its banana-like color from the heat treating that is used to make them. This gem can come in two forms. The more common synthetic citrine is essentially a heated amethyst, which tends to take on a burnt orange color. Natural Citrine, however, has brilliant yellow hues that are much lighter.
