Peridot is famous for its stunning green color, although experts tend to have different ways of describing which green it is. Some say that it is neon green, while others, such as our own KC, call it “grass green.”
Made up of olivine, magnesium, and iron, peridots can be found all over the world. The best, believe it or not, are found right here in the USA, Arizona and Hawaii to be exact. Genuine peridot stones will be about a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, meaning they are relatively safe to be worn often without damage.
